National cadet corps is a Tri-Services organization comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth- “The leaders of tomorrow”- into disciplined and patriotic citizens NCC is observe by Ministry of Defence and is headed by a Director General (DG) of the rank of Lieutenant General who monitors its functioning through the DG, NCC HQ in Delhi.

Our NCC unit is one of the remarkable wings of the institution. Since its establishment this unit has been actively and successfully working for the betterment of the body and mind of the students and performing various social activities in the locality.

The NCC unit consists of three companies which are to be included in the 54 Bengal Boys BN NCC and 3 Bengal Girls BN NCC.  The Nabadwip Vidyasagar College NCC unit does not strive only to provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces, but also to train and motivate youth and inculcate spirit of courage and bravery to face any sort of situation in life under the guidance of Lt Akhil Sarkar, Assistant Professor and Associate NCC Office (ANO) and Sri Debabrata Madak NCC Clark. Lt Akhil Sarkar was awarded the rank of Lieutenant in army on 17.10.2015 with personal No. NCC/16110121 after completing PRCN/SD/158 Course as per section 21(5) of National cadet corps Act, 1948.
